The carpet is one of the best expressions of national character, thus Folk Art Hub Foundation aims to spread the carpet weaving traditions, especially to teach children the art of carpet and rug weaving and introduce the carpet culture, which implies a distinction of ornaments, topography, possession of technical peculiarities.

Since September 2014 a special group functions within Foundation, among whose members are the pupils of “Vordan karmir” (Cochineal) studio. The children are between 8 to 12 years old who are enrolled in carpet weaving, already mastered in carpet weaving technique, creating their own sketches.

In addition to basic trainings, the group participates in Foundation’s activities, due to which they become full members of Folk Arts Hub.
Carpets made by children will be displayed in a big exhibition organized in 2015.
